Zhejiang Province is located on China's southeast coast, south of the Yangtze River Delta. Adjacent to the north is Shanghai. Zhejiang covers a total area of 101,800 sq km and the most important cities for business are: Hangzhou, Ningbo, Wenzhou, Jiaxing, Huzhou, Shaoxing, Jinhua, Quzhou, Zhoushan, Taizhou and Lishui.

Known as the "Silicon Valley" of Zhejiang, High-tech Development Zone is focused on developing its 5 high-tech industries, which are micro-electronic information, biomedicine, new material, optical-mechanical-electrical integration, computer and its application. Gross product, total revenue from technology, manufacturing, and trade, foreign exchange revenue and other economic indicators are growing dramatically every year. Profit per capita is among the highest of nation-wide High-tech Development Zone. 
Hangzhou Zhijiang National Tourist and Holiday Resort (ZNTHR) is one of the 12 national tourist and holiday resorts set up upon the approval of the State Council. Its establishment is one of the significant measures taken by the government to enhance the development of tourism in Hangzhou. ZNTHR has attracted an total investment of 280 million U.S. Dollars and 1.322 million RMB on 23 projects.
Ningbo Port is one of China's deep-water ports, enjoying unique natural conditions. Surrounded by Zhoushan Islands, the port area is sheltered from the strong wind and waves. In 2001 the port handled 100 million tons of cargo, becoming one of the few ports with 100 million tons of cargo throughput. 
Ningbo Free Trade Zone (NFTZ) was established on Nov. 19, 1992. In compliance with the common practice of free trade zones defined in " International Kyoto Treaty", NFTZ enjoys special policies of "exempt from tax, exempt from license, bonded tax" and has economic functions of international trade, import & export processing, bonded warehousing and etc. NFTZ is a special economic area operating in the way of "inside the boundary, outside the customs". In one word, it is so far the most opened area in China to the outside world with most preferential policies. With the current developed area of 2.3 Square kms, NFTZ is expecting its expansion in the near future. 10 years effort has built NFTZ into a hot spot for foreign investors in East China Great Shanghai Economic Region with completed infrastructure, prosperous economy, satisfied investors, and accumulated capital. Up to the end of 2001, there have been more than 3700 enterprises incorporated, invested from 35 countries and territories, with the total investment of USD2.52 billion. 
Yiwu market is the biggest commodities market in China. With an area of 2.6 million square meters with 53,000 booths the market provides 320,000 varieties of goods of 1,502 different categories. More than 60% booths in the market have supplied goods for foreign customers. According to statistics released by Peoples Bank of China, more than 6,290 foreign enterprises and businessmen have opened their accounts with banks in Yiwu.
Yiwu International Commodities Fair is the biggest fair of consumer goods in China. Yiwu Fair 2004 attracted 82,667 business people from 142 countries and regions, including 12,312 foreign purchasers and 72 foreign sourcing groups. Over 1,700 enterprises, from 26 provinces and provincial municipalities in the country and from 20 other countries and regions, exhibited their commodities in the fair. The fair concluded with a trade volume of 7.43 billion Yuan, among which 62.9% foreign trade volume. 
Shaoxing is the Asia's largest textile market. Shaoxing textile market covers an area of 492,000 sqm and with a floor area of 605,000 sqm. There are 19 textile products markets, one light textile raw materials market, and five textile machinery and light industrial goods markets in its eastern, central, western and northern trading blocks. The area has 15,000 shops, which are leased by 8,500 operators, offering over 9,000 varieties of merchandise and employing more than 40,000 people. Textile City is visited by 70,000 people and sells an average of 2 million meters of fabrics a day. Daily turnover approaches Rmb60 million. Last year's turnover amounted to Rmb22.6 billion. 
Chongfu is the most important supplier of leather and fur in China. The China Chongfu Fur World market leads fur fashion trends in the mainland and has became an international market. Chongfu Fur World market combines the functions of product display, transaction, design training, business negotiation and leisure facilities. The market opened in 2005 and since it has already attracted many buyers.
